iPod for $99 When You Buy $499 in Furniture

What kind of deal is that? I guess they don’t know about the great deals that Apple offers on iPods every day. Right now for Presidents Day you can get an iPod Nano at RC Whilleys for $99 when you buy at least $499 worth of their furniture. That doesn’t seem like a very good deal to me but what the heck. So we went to check out the great sale and low and behold they had the iPod Nano proudly displayed for $99.

Now you would think that if they are going to have a sale of furniture and they are offering an iPod Nano as the prize for buying their furniture (which has a price tag that is seriously questionable) then they would push the purchase of something that is $499 and above. Not the case. A few weeks ago we were looking for furniture and stopped into RC Whilleys. The prices of their couches were lower then than they are now for the same style and models of couches. Raised prices for a sale is what we are seeing. But that is the way that all companies do sales, raise the prices then advertise a huge discount for their “sale”.
